Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Here we explain which ones we use, why, and how you change your choice.
Your choice governs everything but the necessary
No analytics or marketing cookies are set, and no request is made to Google or Meta, before you have answered the cookie box. If you choose Only necessary, none of that happens. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page, and the change takes effect immediately.
Necessary
Required for the website to work and cannot be turned off. The only thing we store without your consent is the cookie choice itself, in the browser's local storage, so that you are not asked again on every page view. It is never used to follow you between websites.
Analytics and statistics
Used only if you accept them. We use Google Analytics 4 to see how the website is used at an aggregate level, for example which pages are visited and where visitors leave us, so that we can improve the site. We do not use it to identify you as a person, and Google Analytics 4 does not store your IP address. Cookies: _ga and _ga_* on animed.se.
Google Analytics loads through the same Google tag as our ad measurement. The tag may only set analytics cookies if you have accepted Analytics and statistics, and only advertising cookies if you have accepted Marketing. Marketing
Used only if you accept them. We use them for a single purpose: measuring which advertising leads to visits with us, so that Google and Meta can deliver our ads better. Two things happen in your browser when you accept marketing:
- If you arrive at animed.se from an ad on Google or Meta, the address contains a click identifier (gclid, gbraid or wbraid from Google, fbclid from Meta). A script operated by our supplier Zero Folks AB stores it in a cookie on sst.animed.se, an address that belongs to us, for 90 days. The click identifier is also stored in the browser's local storage on animed.se, for 90 days from Google and 7 days from Meta, and added to the link when you go on to book an appointment at my.provet.com. Our booking system then receives it.
- The Google tag may set Google's own advertising cookies (for example _gcl_au). How Google uses them is described in Google's policy. Meta receives nothing from your browser.
Bookings that lead to visits are instead reported from our server, not from the browser. What is then sent to Google and Meta is described in our privacy policy under Measuring our advertising.
How long they are kept
Your cookie choice is stored in the browser so that we can demonstrate that you gave it, and so we do not have to ask again. Cookies:

How to say no afterwards
Open Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and turn off the categories you do not want. The Google tag is told immediately and stops setting cookies for that category. You can also delete cookies and block them in your browser settings. Deleting cookies also removes the click-identifier cookie on sst.animed.se, and it is not set again without a new ad click and a new consent. If you turn off Marketing, the click identifier is removed from local storage immediately.
