Referrals

We accept referrals from colleagues across the Stockholm area and stay in close contact with you throughout the course of care. Here you will find everything you need to refer a patient to AniMed Animal Hospital.

1

Contact us

Email remiss@animed.se or call 08-400 654 00. For urgent cases, always call first so we can prepare for the patient's arrival.

2

Send the records

Attach records, x-ray images and lab results to the email. There are no long forms to fill in; the checklist below shows what we need.

3

We take over and report back

We book the patient in, keep you updated during the course of care and report back to you when the patient returns to you for follow-up.

What the referral should include

The more we know before the visit, the faster we can help the patient. Please include the following in your email:

  • Referring clinic: name, phone number, email and address
  • Referring veterinarian
  • Owner: name, phone number and email
  • The patient: species, breed, sex and date of birth
  • Diagnosis or suspected diagnosis
  • History and previous treatments
  • Requested examination or treatment
  • Reason for the referral
  • Current medication and treatments
  • Attachments: x-ray images, blood work, clinical notes and any other relevant records

Missing something? Send the referral anyway and we will complete it together.

How we work

For referring colleagues

We work together

When you refer a patient to AniMed, you do not hand them over and disappear from the picture. We see you as an important part of the team and value a close dialogue before, during and after the course of care.

Clear prices, no surprises

Transparent, reasonable pricing is an important part of how we work. We give clear price information and package prices where possible, so that both you and the owner know what the care involves and what it will cost.

The patient returns to you

After the course of care we report back to you, so you can continue the follow-up at your own clinic. Together we create the best care for the patient.
