Our story

AniMed is a family business, started by veterinarians who wanted to run pet care their own way: personal, accessible and with fair prices. Today an emergency animal hospital with heart, still private and family-owned.

Staff at AniMed Animal Hospital in Sundbyberg

Two veterinarians, one shared dream

Ever since Morteza and Malin were children, they have loved pets. Their paths met at veterinary school in Copenhagen, and that is where the dream of their own animal hospital began. Morteza specialises in surgery and Malin in ultrasound and cardiology. Their complementary interests in diagnostics and treatment are what laid the foundation for their first clinic, which opened in 2011. Since then they have founded three clinics in total. In 2026 they finally opened the doors to Stockholm's only family-owned animal hospital.

The best animal hospital is the one that best meets your pet's needs. Here at AniMed we always work so that your dog or cat experiences the best combination of reassurance, expertise and results.
